l Automatic precipitation sampler
l Three funnels inside of the 5-gallon bucket are used to collect rainfall samples for mercury, selenium, boron, manganese, nitrate, ammonia, chloride, pH, specific conductance, and sulfate
l Separate collection bottles are used where tubing from the three funnels are directed to separate bottles. Bottles contain trace-clean hydrochloric acid for preservation of mercury samples; trace-clean nitric acid for preservation of selenium, manganese, and boron samples; and no acid for analysis of nitrate, ammonia, chloride, pH, specific conductance, and sulfate
l Samples are processed in a sealed enclosure (glove box) to prevent contamination of mercury samples
